内容紹介：

　阿寒カルデラ内の阿寒湖温泉街東側には、これまで新第三紀中新世とされてきた軽石質火砕流堆積物が分布する。この堆積物は弱溶結で変質に乏しい流紋岩火山礫凝灰岩からなり、普通角閃石および直方輝石を極少量含む。本研究では、本火砕流堆積物から新たに0.25 ± 0.05 Maのチバニアン期に相当するU–Pb年代を得た。この年代は阿寒火砕流堆積物や屈斜路火砕流堆積物の活動時期に近い。一方で、本火砕流堆積物は分布が限られていること，普通角閃石を含むことから，阿寒カルデラ外側に点在する同時代の阿寒火砕流堆積物との対比関係は，現時点では明らかでない。

Contents:

Akandakejinjaokunoin Pyroclastic Flow Deposit, exposed east of Akanko Hot Spring, is newly described. Previously assigned to the Miocene, the deposit consists of weakly welded, slightly altered rhyolitic lapilli tuff containing minor amounts of hornblende and orthopyroxene. A new U–Pb age of 0.25 ± 0.05 Ma places the deposit in the Chibanian and is close to the ages of the Akan and Kutcharo pyroclastic flow deposits. However, its limited distribution and hornblende-bearing mineral assemblage make its correlation with similarly aged Akan pyroclastic flow deposits outside the caldera uncertain.
