Seismic profiling survey of the Kikukawa fault off Tsunoshima Island, SW Japan

Offshore active fault survey supported by MEXT begun in 2009. The photo was taken during the seismic profiling survey of the seaward extension of the Kikukawa fault in September 2009 off Tsunoshima Island, Yamaguchi Prefecture, SW Japan. The survey ship tows a water gun and a single channel streamer.
